First, Figure Out What You'd Like to Hunt

Whether its dove and quail some popular things people hunt here in Arizona or bear and Elk which is more popular in the Northwest.  There is a huge selection of animals to hunt. When choosing the animal you would like to hunt you will also need to decide on the weapon to use. 

Some Animals You Can Hunt

  • Bear 
  • Elk
  • Wild Boar
  • Quail
  • Duck
  • Turkey
  • Pronghorn 
  • Sheep
  • Deer
  • Dove

The Three Most Common Weapons to Use When Hunting

  • Shotgun
  • Rifle
  • Bow and Arrow

Hunting Education

We found a great website with resources on obtaining your hunter education card. To check out that website you can visit Hunter Ed by clicking here. You can also take gun safety classes. Just use good ol' Google and search for gun safety classes in your area. Mark Gassner our guest today suggested Hunting, Butchering, and Cooking Wild Game by Steven Rinella along with several other hunting books.
